If someone had told me last year this time that I would be sitting in the chair of the Editor in Chief for Be Well Travel & Lifestyle Magazine, I probably would have said, “That’s impossible!” And, my reaction wouldn’t have come from a place of incapability or fear, but from a place of being overwhelmed by my work schedule. In addition to my on-going commitments as a shamanic self-mastery sage/counselor, a YouTube influencer, and partner in a consultant group, I was involved with a consultant project that wasn’t aligned with the manner in which I do my best work. I was more out of balance physically and emotionally than I knew. In August, it all came to light when I went on an empowering journey with bronchitis, and was chained to my bed for four weeks.
Although it was one of my most disturbing health challenges ever, there was a gift in my healing and recovery process. I gained the clarity and courage to let go of all work activities that didn’t bring me joy and fulfillment. I’m proud and happy to say that my calendar has been cleaned up and I am now in this chair working closely with two people I trust and admire, and most importantly, who trust and know how to support me to do my best work -- Michael Damond Campbell, the Director of Creative Production & Marketing (also CEO of We Merge Media & Bond to Build), and Carmen Ray, Founder & Publisher of the magazine, and Owner & CEO of Be Well Enterprises.
