Hi! I’m Alicia Stingley and I’m a wealth mentor to mature women. Like most entrepreneurs, that’s not what I started out wanting to be. When I went to college, I wanted to be a doctor. Well, more like my family wanted me to be a doctor since I was “smart” and the first one in the family to go to college. Back then, there was no talk of becoming a business owner. I did what most girls from working-class families were encouraged to do – pursue the middle-class “American Dream.” So, I followed the rules and went to college, got a good job, got married, had kids, and bought a house. But, the course of my life was changed when I got a job as a financial advisor in 2015.

It was then that I learned the secrets of the wealthy. I learned how to make my money work for me versus working so hard for it. I learned that the middle class played checkers with their money while the wealthy played chess. And, I learned to master the game.

After advising thousands of people, I discovered that women, People of Color, and those who have suffered from being marginalized by our society, were at a distinct disadvantage when it came to their money. They didn’t know what they didn’t know, and I realized that I felt a passionate need to teach them. I left that financial firm after a few years and started my own company so that I could have the freedom to teach whomever, however, and whatever I wanted.

It’s been 7 years, and I’m still here as a women entrepreneur in the male-dominated financial business world. Over this time period I have coached, mentored, and inspired hundreds of women to shift their relationship with money and create wealth for themselves and their families for generations to come. One of my most significant accomplishments is the work I did with my very first coaching client. She was very open to what I was teaching and quickly learned how to master her money. She now owns several businesses, and credits her success directly to the work we did together. My current goal as a wealth mentor is to reach more women like her and help them to conquer any fears or limited beliefs they have around money. I want to empower them to invest in the stock market, in real estate, and other passive income streams that support the creation of wealth.

I’m very excited and grateful to be featured in Be Well Magazine. I believe that being part of the Be Well Community will help me reach my current goal by giving me opportunities to expand my reach and connect with a wider audience. In this way, I will be able to make a greater impact in the lives of the women I am called to serve.
