By Shontina Gladney Many times as entrepreneurs we play it safe with our fashion, or never consider a uniform as a way to take our brand to the next level. This month I want to present 5 WAYS that you can transform your image to attract those who are waiting on you to play big in all areas of your business. Use social media websites like Pinterest to inspire you to become that woman who fits your brand perfectly. When you are searching for inspiration forget all the words that may play over in your head like, ‘I need to lose a couple of pounds before fitting into that outfit’, or ‘I am too old wear that style’. Dismiss those thoughts from your pretty little head right now, because they are all examples of false evidence—only appearing real. Never be afraid to allow some bold bright colors to find their way into your life. Begin to see yourself as the brand you are ready to create, and go all out for you!
Create a fashion envisioning board that speaks to the very essence of who you will become through this journey of fashionably revealing your brand to the world. Many times we confuse letting go with releasing or surrendering. This is the time you do not over think anything. The fashion branding board you create can be digital or created through magazine photos. Create your top 5 fashions for your brand based on where you are headed, not where you currently are. If you are not having fun while you are creating your fashion brand for your business you want to block out all the noise. No need to go out and pay a photographer that will make you more nervous and add many more ideas to your current massive list of, “Now what?” Grab your cell phone and start snapping photos of yourself in total confidence with power poses that blow your mind! Remember, if you get too far out there always result back to your envisioning board to stay on track. Join a fashion group on social media that makes your fashion taste buds come alive. That will be a great way to get advice, share updates, track your progress, and maybe even offer accountability to keep the fire lit through your transformation. As you build your fashion sense, style, and brand remember that it is always best to own the fashion and never allow the fashion to own you! So, you say a uniform makes perfect sense for your brand? That would be me. However, I have chosen to add embroidery to garments. This, I simply feel is a power yet leisure move for my newly launching lifestyle company. Adding a fashion facelift to your business plan brings another level of energy, and attracts the customer you were never looking for. My sister, Big, Bolder and Brighter already looks phenomenal on you!
