My name is L. A. Roberts, and I am the founder of I Inspire Global where ordinary people with extraordinary stories change the world. I am also a transformational speaker, international bestselling author, and radio personality. My first book, From Breakdown to Breakthrough Life After Death, earned me a Platinum Author Award, and has been featured on major television networks such as NBC, ABC, CBS, and Fox. For over a decade I have consistently been a featured public speaker at conferences and events, including Harvard University, Georgia State University, The American Red Cross, TEDx, and the United Nations. I’ve been featured on the cover of Global Woman and VIP Global magazines. also received the Valiant Warrior Award and have been named one of the top 50 Most Influential Women in Business, by VIP Global Magazine. In 2021 I was awarded an honorary doctorate degree from Trinity International University of Ambassadors, and the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award.
My business is centered around supporting and promoting ordinary people to express themselves in ways they would never expect. It brings joy to my heart to teach people how to stand on their personal stories from a place of victory, and not in them from the place of victim. I love to help people shift their perspective and understand their life experiences and situations from a higher viewpoint. From my own experience, I know that personal storytelling can be shared in many different ways, from standing on a stage, written in books, expressed through poetry, and in interviews. I teach individuals how to have the confidence to express themselves authentically and ultimately be seen for the amazing people they are. My journey of becoming an entrepreneur and the inspiration behind my business begins when I was 18 years old. I had the vision of being a successful entrepreneur, and although I wasn't sure of how exactly this would manifest, I knew God would lead me there. Over the years, this vision has expanded as a result of life experiences that have opened and expanded my heart. My Papa, Leon F. Howard Sr., passed away on October 27, 2016, and my life has never been the same. My Grandfather was the greatest source of my inspiration in life, and now even more so in death. With everything I do I pause to imagine him sitting on the edge of Heaven and smiling. Imagining that keeps me going. In regards to a significant milestone or accomplishment that stands out in my entrepreneurial journey, although I've been blessed with so many, there is one that I am truly most proud. It is when I was invited to speak at the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York City. There were multiple speakers that day, however the last speaker quoted me in their presentation. That was such an honor. I was also approached by multiple people once the program concluded telling me how much I had touched their hearts. That was the moment this little girl from the Southside of Chicago knew she was built to address the nations of the world. Although I’m just recently a member of the Be Well Community, I’m looking forward to learning how to leverage all of the resources, including the Be Well Magazine, online community, and the annual retreat to continuously empower myself and others while growing my brand.
